A very crazy piece — or was it just the interpretation that was so crazy? The tropical night certainly didn’t detract from the eerie winter atmosphere.
And yes, the star of the evening was definitely Samiel — played absolutely brilliantly and wildly by Niklas Wetzel. He really reminded me of the Joker. Max, on the other hand, seemed more like a bit of an imposter by comparison.
I also really liked the twist towards the end, when the piece was finally given a happy ending — it almost became a little cheesy because of that...
